Sales Support

Duties & Responsibilities

Working in partnership with the other members of the Sales Support Team, Sales Support Team Leader and our Internal Account Management team, the candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Account Managers and liaising closely with other team members within the business. The individual must be able to work to tight time schedules, ensuring all Service Level Agreements are being met and all tenders are prepped within the timescale requested. The candidate must have acute attention to detail to ensure correct validation of contract paperwork and accurate quote set up. The ability to work quickly and efficiently will be essential for the role, as tasks can vary on a day to day basis. The duties will require excellent communication skills, as the individual will be regularly liaising with YGP’s brokers on behalf of their Account Manager and with YGP’s Operations Team to resolve broker queries.

The candidate will be expected to build rapport with YGP’s energy brokers / consultants, and therefore prior industry knowledge would be beneficial.  If the candidate lacks prior industry experience, they must show hunger for continuous training and development and demonstrate a keen interest of the energy industry. As YGP continues down its rapid growth trajectory, the processes surrounding the role will change over time.  Therefore, a welcoming attitude towards change in a dynamic business environment is an essential attribute required for the role.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an office based, sales / administration role;
  • Knowledge of the energy industry is highly advantageous but not essential;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook;
  • Highly PC literate;
  • Excellent problem solver and a logical thinker;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail to a very high standard;
  • Quick learner that is ready to help question and develop processes.
